Reverse Osmosis works by forcing water against as semi permeable membrane. The excess invisible chemicals and dissolved solids present in the water are prevented from passing through this membrane only water molecules are allowed to pass through giving you pure and healthy drinking water.
The most commonly used methods of purification are Chlorination, Boiling, Ultra filtration (UF), Ultra Violet (UV) Disinfection and Reverse Osmosis (RO) Purification.
The frequency of changing your filter cartridges depend on water quality and usage. But, the cleaning depends on your hygienic preferences and cleaning time availability. Generally, the entire boiler tank must be cleaned at least once in a month during winters, and twice a month in summers due to high water usage.
The average capacity of the water purifier depends on the brand, model, and make of the device. Usually, the upper chamber of the device can hold up to 9 litres of water, and the bottom chamber can have water anywhere ranging from 9 litres to 23 litres.
